Mother and Child Care in the USSR

Nogina, A.P. – Mother and Child Care in the USSR

A Stalin era paperback little book, that has a very unusual drawing of Lenin in the front; he’s smiling. As well there’s a picture of Stalin, holding a little boy up in the air at a physical culture parade.  (Remember when Michael Jackson did something similar with his son?)  The cover is just awesome as well, a picture of domestic ecstasy.  from 1950.

  1. Your cover of ‘Mother and Child Care in the USSR’ is a photomontage and appears to be colored in a chromolithograph-style. I would venture a guess to say the cover was designed by Victor Koretsky. He was a noted Soviet photomontage artist of the 1950s who’s posters resemble this same style seen here. Wonderful and classic Soviet female image!
