Books from the 80s – The 27th CPSU Congress

Boris Krotkov – The 27th CPSU Congress: Discussions and Decisions

Dear me, it’s been a long time since I posted here.  Very lame.  Anyhow, I recently bought a box of pamphlets and small books from my friend Alex in San Francisco.  Much of his collection is from the end of the Soviet experience, and I will post some of the best and worst here for you.

So here if Boris Krotkov report on the 27th Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, held in 1986 at the Kremlin Palace of Congresses.  The Congress was held to decide “the guidelines for the economic and social development of the USSR for 1986-1990 and for the period ending in 2000. [irony]”

Great cover.  A montage of serious-looking men and general ‘progress’.

  1. Then you are lucky to have got such good copies! Quite a few of my old Progress Publishers books are soiled with loose covers, insect damage etc.

    Nice idea for a blog!
